Kanuga Residency

Kanuga Residency is a residential house situated in Ahmedabad, India. Nestled in a densely packed area with neighboring buildings directly attached to the house, the primary challenge was to introduce ample natural light into the interior spaces. After extensive discussions with the client, a central staircase was designed, paired with a triple-height volume capped by a skylight. This thoughtful design not only enhances the aesthetic appeal of the house but also ensures a steady flow of natural light throughout the day, creating a bright and airy ambiance. The skylight serves as a focal point, transforming the core of the home into a vibrant, well-lit space that fosters a sense of openness and connection to the outdoors. The interplay of sunlight streaming through the skylight creates dynamic patterns and changing moods within the house, elevating the spatial experience for its residents.
